Pourin’ Outta the Pipes

The final things I learned in Mr. Jones’ Multimedia II class: Instead of having to individually update each website, there’s a much faster way. PixelPipe.com. It is like a miracle, and it is really easy. All you have to do is create a post on this site and send it to the “pipes” you tell … Continue reading

Spinning a Web

More of what I learned this quarter in Mr. Jones’ Multimedia II class: To successfully create an online presence, others must be aware of it. For this class we had to create a Blogger, Twitter, WordPress, YouTube, Flickr, Facebook Fan Page, and Tumblr. By using all of these sites and connecting to our classmates and … Continue reading

Blog. Tweet. Repeat.

What I’ve learned this quarter in Mr. Jones’ Multimedia II class: I have to admit I was not looking forward to this class at all. While most people my age, well actually any age now, spend a lot of their time on the computer and socializing through websites, I rarely do. I like to spend … Continue reading

Fashion Assignment

Our final assignment in our Advanced Portraiture class is a Fantasy/Fashion portrait. I chose to do edgy fashion in a parking deck. My sister Amanda was kind enough to be my model in the freezing winter weather! This picture is one of my favorites.

I’m on Flickr!

I now have a Flickr account and am in the process of uploading all my past work. I will also continue to update it as I produce new work! Go check out my photostream!

At The Vermont Photography Workplace/ PhotoPlace Gallery, Linda Plaisted and other awesome artists will be exhibited from January 4th-29th. This exhibition is called Flowers, Trees, Birds, Bees: Nature Explored. Check out some of the photography on the website, or if you’re in Vermont in January, go to the gallery! I wish I could!   Lori … Continue reading

Tumblr Photography Blogs

I have come to really like the way tumblr is set up. Most blogs I come across are very clean and simple rather than obnoxious. I find tumblr a lot less confusing than WordPress, but it has more variety than Blogger.  It may just become my favorite. Here are several tumblr photography blogs I enjoy. … Continue reading

GlakLove on Etsy

Starr Petronella, a classmate of mine, posted about GlakLove on Etsy. Angelyn Pass of Atlanta, GA, makes jewelry and ornaments by cutting up old film negatives to create new images. I absolutely love it all!

The Photographist

While researching photography blogs on tumblr, I found one called The Photographist. This art student named Chris not only does photography, but also shows his screenprinting and paintings he does for his classes. I like his artwork and photographs, and how you can view what kind of camera, etc. was used. Take a look!

Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival

Today, I went to the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival in Thomasville, GA with my mom and grandma. We walked around and viewed all the paintings and sculptures, etc. by all the different artists, and got to see some of them in action. I really enjoyed several of the artists and thought I’d tell you about … Continue reading
